Responsibilities

– Employee is responsible for scheduling deliveries to customer’s homes or places of business for each day with 1-2 hour time frames and contact customers for future deliveries

– Use of a forklift to load delivery trucks and unload semi-trailers of salt

– Drive to customer’s home or business, deliver 40lb bags of water softener salt, carry salt to the desired location, and fill up the salt tank and stack extra bags where needed.

– Enter purchases into a handheld computer. Discuss and receive payment from customers for their purchase.

– Cold call on new accounts

– Contact our current customer database to increase sales of salt

– Work Salt Sale Saturday, the first Saturday of each month

– Other small duties will be required throughout the workweek

Working Hours

– Monday thru Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – 40 hours

– 1st Saturday of Each Month – 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Salary & Benefits

– Employee is paid per hour plus commission for each bag of salt delivered

– After a 90-day introductory period, the employee is enrolled in the company’s insurance plan, if they qualify

– One week of vacation after the first full year of employment (pro-rated vacation time given before the first full year)

– Clothing expense of $100.00 given after the first full year of employment

– Employee is enrolled in the company’s profit-sharing plan, after meeting requirements

Requirements

– Clean driving record. Must pass insurance driving requirements. Applicant must provide a copy of driver’s license for insurance verification.

– Must pass drug screening

– Strong sense of customer service

– The ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and carry 100-200 bags of water softener salt on a daily basis.

– Basic computer skills necessary

– Previous forklift experience and driving large trucks a plus, but not necessary
