Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter Change

A Kinetico Drinking Water System is an excellent investment for your home, but only if the filters are changed regularly.  Changing the filters ensures your family will have high-quality drinking water for years.  A Kinetico Drinking Water System will shut down at approximately 500 gallons of water used, so you get full use of your filters.  To gauge when the filters will need to be changed, on the K5 and GX/VX models, find the Purmometer on top of the unit.  As water is used, the purmometer indicator progresses down and gets near one dot; when this occurs, your filters will likely need to be changed soon.  Another indication a filter change is near is the pressure decreases from the drinking water faucet.

NOTE: If you are changing filters, ensure that your reverse osmosis water and kitchen tap water are tested for total dissolved solids.  This will indicate if the membrane needs to be changed.  The membrane is not changed with every filter change.
