Many homeowners on well water will wonder why their cold water will smell like sulfur (rotten eggs). This is due to a bacteria in the water, although not harmful, which can be easily eliminated from the water. This procedure is a well chlorination and can be easily done by the homeowner or a water professional. Follow the simple steps provided on the information sheet to help rid your water of the odor.
In order to protect your water softener from unwanted sediment into the home and water softener, homeowners on well water will install a sediment pre-filter. These filters need to be changed on a periodic basis to ensure the proper filtration. For sediment pre-filters, the homeowner wants to use a 50 micron filter for proper filtration and flow throughout the house.
A reverse osmosis drinking water system can be a great benefit to your household, but only if the filters are changed on a regular basis.
